Giant rabbit at an abandoned metro station

I still saw him! This is the abandoned metro station Hakubutsukan-Dobutsuen in Tokyo, from which they now made an art object.

The station was closed in 1997 and has not been used for more than 20 years. Now it is recognized as a historical site and held the first exhibition. When I found out about this a few months ago, I didn’t even think that I would have the opportunity to go there. It's just awesome, thank you, Universe!

The exhibition was held from 11/23/2018 to 02/24/2019. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 16:00. The visit is free, but there is a nuance: at ten in the morning they give out tickets for the day in sessions, of course they quickly end. That is, I didn’t get inside. But the lobby took a picture. Anyway, the station itself is not allowed. You can see ticket offices, turnstiles and installations of the ueNOyes project.

Hakubutsukan-Doubutsuen Station is located in Ueno Park, opposite Kuroda Memorial Hall, and is easy to find on the map. The nearest Ueno station, walk 10 minutes through the park. I hope that someday the station will be opened for visiting. It would be great.
