Deep and piercing photos telling the history of the peoples of the Congo

The Mbomo district is located in Central Africa, in the impressive basin of the Congo River. These tropical thickets are perhaps the largest on the planet, they are spread over 500 million acres. In this wonderful natural splendor lives several peoples and tribes. Their existence is closely related to the environment. Despite the uniqueness and value of their cultures, this region has long remained unattended by the outside world.

"Tales of the Congo" is a multimedia idea that allows you to capture a story that is about to sink into oblivion, and show it to the whole world. Since 2014, a group of scientists and photographers worked on this project, establishing communication with local residents, delving into their traditions and lifestyles, studying oral folklore.

Part of this colossal work was photographer Peter Henket. He reflected an authentic story in stunning pictures.
