Under the pyramid of the moon, they found a secret tunnel that simulated a journey into the afterlife

The Pyramid of the Moon is the second largest pyramid in Mexico, only the Pyramid of the Sun is larger in size. It was built in the ancient city of Teotihuacan between 200 and 450 years of our era. The height of the pyramid of the moon is 42 meters, and the width of the base is 150 meters.

Archaeologists have indeed discovered a secret chamber and a tunnel at a depth of about ten meters, which were filled up in ancient times. Researchers at the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico believe that this underground corridor was used to simulate a journey into the afterlife. The camera was needed for rituals.

As for the ancient city of Teotihuacan, in which the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon are located, it was created by the Toltecs even before the arrival of the Aztecs in about 100 BC
