Eco-skyscraper Agora Garden in Taipei - a jungle apartment building

It’s already hard to surprise anyone with record-breaking skyscrapers, since the highest towers regularly appear in the world, which lose their title in a couple of years. But the real admiration is for buildings that are built on the principles of energy saving, using recycled or innovative materials, as well as using new green technologies that can change our world for the better. One of them is the eco-skyscraper Agora Garden Tower, which was erected in Taipei.

There are many interesting buildings in the capital of Taiwan, but the Agora Garden Tower is unique in terms of the environmental concept that was implemented during its construction. According to the chief architect of the project, the Belgian Vincent Callebaugh, he sought to create a special ecological space that would combine nature and man. According to most critics, he succeeded.

The new residential building does not exceed most skyscrapers in height - it has only 20 floors, but it has the original shape of a DNA helix. During the construction of the new complex, only environmentally friendly materials were used, and preference was given to those obtained as a result of recycling. The building has a rainwater collection system, which is then used in the operation of the premises. In addition, solar panels are located in the spiral complex, and organic waste is recycled into useful compost. In general, it can be said that the building has a much lower level of energy consumption than similar buildings.

One of the key points in Vincent Callebo’s project is vertical landscaping, which architects from around the world have loved so much. The tropical climate of Taiwan allows you to use the maximum variety of plants for landscaping, so it was possible to create a special ecological space, urban symbiosis of man and nature.

Of course, the architect provided not only the environmental component, but also maximum comfort for the residents of Agora Garden. It has its own pool, gym, parking and even a clubhouse on the roof. This unique building proves that a comfortable environment for humans can be as environmentally friendly as possible.
