To rent a city in such a way as to fully convey its atmosphere, mood and character is not so simple as it might seem. One of the main conditions for the success of urban and street shooting is the photographer’s knowledge and feeling of the city, as well as an original creative approach. Alfonso Leon from Bogotá has all of the above. He succeeds in stunning images of architecture, cityscapes and breathtaking street scenes. I want to consider them and to some extent unravel them. His work is the case when photos of the city do not make you bored, but serve as a portal to another, exciting world.
