Brilliant and simple: an alternative to a traditional hydroelectric power station that does not harm the environment

Although traditional hydroelectric power plants are considered one of the most environmentally friendly methods for generating electricity, they nevertheless cause significant environmental damage. During their construction, enormous areas of land go under water, often it is necessary to relocate local residents, and sometimes historical monuments are flooded. In addition, river fauna suffers, especially migratory fish species that spawn, and after filling the reservoir bowl, technogenic landslides and earthquakes are not uncommon. Another important factor is the size of the river, because small and medium rivers are not suitable for the construction of a hydroelectric station, due to the small volume of water. It is impractical to spend colossal funds on the construction of the dam and ultimately receive a small amount of electricity.

All these sad circumstances prompted the Austrian inventor Franz Zotlöterer to create an alternative model of the hydroelectric power station, which he called the "gravitational-whirlpool station."

The principle of operation of this station is simply brilliant, and at the same time, this design does not cause any environmental damage.
