“Drinking” maps of the world: in which countries can tap water be drunk and in which not

If you travel the world often, then you have probably already faced the issue of quality and safety of tap water more than once. The World Center for Disease Control recommends quenching thirst with care around the world.

If in some countries the control over the purity of tap water is carried out very strictly and on a regular basis, so that even local residents constantly use this water for food without resorting to additional treatment. In other countries, a few sips of tap water can cost you health or lead to very unpleasant, albeit short-lived, consequences.

For a quick and convenient orientation of travelers on this issue, the aforementioned organization issued a simple and useful infographic in the form of two world maps that show where you can safely get water into a cup from a tap, and where it is better to run away to a supermarket for drinking water.
