Where do small fairytale doors come from in American cities

How to add a little magic to your home? The inhabitants of Ann Arbor managed to create magic not only in the house, but throughout the city. Everywhere here you can see tiny doors that barely exceed 20 centimeters in height. Fairies settled here: this is what the locals want to believe, led by graphic designer Jonathan B. Wright. It was with him that everything started back in the 93rd year.

Then Jonathan was engaged in the repair of his house, which at that time was already more than a hundred years old. As a joke, the man decided to install a small door for his children and came up with a legend about a fairy who settled in an old house. The door opened, and behind it was a tiny room with the same tiny railings and stairs. Of course, the children were delighted, it is so great when a piece of magic lives in your house.

The genuine interest of the children inspired Jonathan to install small doors throughout the city. They began to appear everywhere: in a cafe, near bridges, near the entrance to shops. And today, dozens of doors around the city delight not only local children, but also adults. Moreover, little presents are left for fairies: sweets, small felt hats, coins, letters. And other US cities have adopted this nice tradition: tiny doors appeared in New York, San Francisco, Atlanta.
