Original origami boat that folds like a paper

Once the kayaks were invented by the indigenous inhabitants of the Arctic as a quick and maneuverable means of transportation on water. But modern modifications of kayaks are successfully operated around the world. Their main application is water tourism, where light and stable kayaks are used during rafting on rough mountain rivers, as well as sea kayaking.

Despite the lightness, maneuverability and other advantages of these vessels, they nevertheless occupy a significant place and need special transportation. But American designer Anton Willis (Anton Willis) decided to save travelers from this problem and created a kayak Oru Kayakthat fits easily in the trunk of a car and even behind.

As you may have guessed, the designer got the idea for creating such a vessel from Japanese origami art. The kayak, created by Anton Willis, folds easily and fits into a special case, but such a folding model did not affect the strength and stability of the structure. The origami boat is made of special corrugated plastic, which bends strictly along certain lines. Additional accessories are attached to the plastic, and the boat is ready for a swim in a couple of minutes.
