Photographer unveils NASA space shuttle imagery archive

The career of photographer John A. Chakeres is more than 40 years old. His works are in permanent collections of well-known organizations around the world. In his latest edition of The First Fleet, Chakeres looks back at a project that was one of the closest and dearest to his heart - collaboration with NASA at the very beginning of his career.

He filmed for NASA for almost 6 years and was completely fascinated by space missions. Today, Chakeres considers his work of those years through an artistic rather than journalistic prism and allows us to see the fantastic beauty and complexity of the work of this organization.
