Indonesia's third festival to be held in Moscow

From August 3 to 5, the Third Festival of Indonesia will be held in Krasnaya Presnya Park, which promises to be the most colorful event of the Moscow summer.

A record number of guests from Indonesia will come to the festival - more than 1000 representatives of Indonesian regions and provinces who will bring exotic goods and colorful show performances. The festival will allow you to completely immerse yourself in the history, culture and life of this country.

What you can not miss at the festival of Indonesia

  • World famous indonesian shadow theater Wayang Kulit. Vayang-kulit dolls are flat, carved from buffalo and attached to a bamboo rod. The doll’s head and torso are controlled by the rod, and guided by hands with the help of sticks-champions. During the performance, the dolls are highlighted with a special lamp, and their shadows appear on a white screen. The performance will be accompanied by music performed by the Javanese gamelan orchestra.
  • Indonesian cuisine, unfairly deprived of the attention of Moscow restaurants, the festival will be presented in all its diversity - traditional nasi-goreng rice, martabak pies with vegetables and meat, noodles. The guests will be cooked by invited chefs from Indonesia and a member of the Indonesian Women's Association at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia "Darmavanita" who live and work in Moscow.

  • Indonesian market will become a real dive. Authentic goods, products and souvenirs will arrive at the festival from different Indonesian regions.   • Indonesian wedding in the Moscow park. All couples in love will be able to take part in a symbolic wedding ceremony, but conducted according to all Indonesian canons. Bright traditional costumes and makeup are included.
  • Fashion show The most famous Indonesian designer Ferry Sunarto is always a big event. This year, he will bring the Initiation collection to the festival, released in collaboration with Batik Keris, a company that for decades has preserved the tradition of painting batik in the Indonesian archipelago and offers handmade fabrics of the highest quality and incredible beauty and complexity of the pattern.
  • Museum of Indonesian Art - For the first time, unique exhibits will be presented to the general public: artifacts of Indonesian history, works of art, including paintings, wooden sculptures, ceramics and musical instruments brought from Indonesia.
