In Canada, fishermen discovered a polar fox floating on an ice floe in the middle of the cold ocean

Life in the sea is full of all kinds of incredible experiences and challenges. At the same time, this is proximity to the beauty and power of mother nature, as well as acquaintance with an amazing world, to which few of us have access.

Fishermen Mallory Harrigan, Cliff and Allan Russell were a few miles off the coast of Labrador (Canada) when they saw something completely unusual. From afar, they saw a creature that helplessly drifted into the sea on a mushroom-shaped iceberg. At first, the men decided that this was a small seal, but, approaching, they found a hungry and frightened Arctic fox, which was also pretty exhausted by the attacks of gulls.

"He was probably stuck there trying to get food."says Mallory.

Realizing that the poor animal is doomed to a terrible fate, Mallory and his comrades decided that they should intervene and do everything possible to save the fox's life. They approached the iceberg close to the boat and somehow managed to drag the Arctic fox on board.

"He tried to run away from us, it was very difficult for us to reach him. We had to break the ice on which he was sitting. He fought and fought to break free until he simply could not move from exhaustion.".

Having nevertheless ferried the animal onto the boat, the fishermen built temporary housing for it. They said that the exhausted arctic fox slept almost all the way back. At first he even refused to eat, but then agreed to enjoy Viennese sausages.

After returning to land, the well-fed and rested Arctic fox was released into the wild. A simple act of mercy saved this wonderful animal from a terrible death.
